I've been buying on AliExpress for years now, and the one thing that still catches most people out is checking out without stacking coupons properly. So here's what actually works, based on how the coupon system is structured:
1. Understand the three coupon layers
AliExpress runs Select Coupons (platform-wide, apply to most listings), Store Coupons (seller-specific, found on the store page itself), and Promo Codes (typed at checkout). These stack. A lot of shoppers only use one and leave money on the table.
2. Codes are region-locked more often than people realise
A code that works for a US shipping address will frequently fail for Brazil or India — different promo budgets, different tax handling. If a code gets rejected, it's usually a region mismatch, not an expired code.
3. Where I check before ordering
I keep a tab open on AliExpress coupon codes — that's the main worldwide list and it covers most international shipping destinations.
