15 years later... we're back.
Some of you probably won't know the name.
Some of you might.
Around 15 years ago, Call of Roleplay was running on SA-MP. Different time, different community, and probably way too many hours spent in San Andreas.
The original server belonged to Moker, and before anything else, I want to give him his flowers. Much love and respect to Moker for creating the original CO:RP and to everyone who played a part in it back then. I didn't want that name and those memories to just disappear.
So... here we are.
CO:RP is coming back.
This time on open.mp.
I'm not trying to recreate 2011 exactly.
A lot has changed in 15 years, and honestly, a lot of things needed to change. But I also don't want CO:RP to lose what made SA-MP fun in the first place. Logging in after school or work and somehow still being online five hours later. Knowing half the server. Having beef with somebody because they gave you a ticket three days ago. Buying your first decent car and acting like you made it in life. Getting dragged into some completely random situation because your friend said: "bro come pick me up real quick" ...and somehow you're wanted by the LSPD ten minutes later.
That's the feeling I want back.
CO:RP is an English Light / Medium RP server based in Los Santos.
Get a job. Make some money. Buy a car. Find a house. Start a business. Join the LSPD. Get involved with a gang. Sell drugs. Go gambling. Or do absolutely none of that and spend three hours talking shit with somebody outside a 24/7.
It's San Andreas.
Make your own story.
I've put a lot of time into bringing this project back properly. Not just getting an old script to compile and throwing a server online. CO:RP has been rebuilt, expanded and modernized for open.mp while trying to keep the personality of the game we all fell in love with. And I'm still not interested in making it feel like FiveM.
This is GTA San Andreas. It's supposed to feel like GTA San Andreas.
If you played CO:RP back in the day, I'd genuinely love to see you come back and see what became of it. If you've never heard of us before, that's fine too. Come make some memories of your own. And Moker, if you ever happen to read this:

CLOSED BETA
We're starting things off with a Closed Beta.
The server is still being worked on and there are things we want to test, change and improve before opening the doors properly. If you'd like to be there early, help us test things out and be part of bringing CO:RP back, you're more than welcome.
