I've been really into mixes for the last few years and been exploring a lot of the Ninja Tune extended family of weird obscure electronic stuff mixed with old finds. Bonobo has become one of my favourite DJs for this kind of thing along with Pedestrian and Maribou State. Here are three picks:



1. Maribou State x Pedestrian: Desert Island Mixtape Pt. 1



This one is filled with tropical vibes. 60s and 70s records with some newer stuff mixed in envisioning dreams of spending life in some Hawaiian beach hut drinking light cocktails all day.

2. Bonobo on NTS 25th June 2015



The first Bonobo and NTS session I heard and absolutely loved all the weird genres and tracks that I had never heard before. Wrote lots of sampctl code to this.

Just a solid electronic dance mix. Nothing more to it. Some sweet transitions in this one. I often come back to it. Good for gym.
