As far as I'm aware, their main goal is to focus solely on backwards compatibility with SA-MP. Thus there will be features that MTA has that will be?missing from Open.mp on first release as Open.mp as far as I read will just be a server package, meaning that the SA-MP client will just be able to connect as if it was a SA-MP server.
